Alignment Workspace

the wiki's source is `wiki/`; the hosted wiki is a mirror

The pages of the human register live in wiki/ and change through pull requests that pass the gates. The hosted wiki is a build artifact: a merge to main touching wiki/ force-pushes the directory to alignment-workspace.wiki.git as a single commit naming the source commit, and the job then re-clones the remote and fails unless what it serves matches what was pushed. Editing the hosted wiki directly is unsupported and the edit will be overwritten without a record.

wiki/ is specification layer: it is enumerated in tests/path_gate.py and owned in CODEOWNERS, so a contributor pull request touching it fails the gate. Two files there are not pages and are not published — ORIGIN.md, the intake receipt, and CONVENTIONS.md, which states what the register is for. The exclusion is read from checkers/wiki_links.py by the sync job rather than duplicated, so a file cannot be a link target the checker accepts and a page the wiki does not have.

checkers/wiki_links.py requires every link between pages to resolve and every link into this repository to carry a 40-hex commit SHA. It runs in the checkers job, whose required-check identity is unchanged.

Source: the maintainer-dispatched wiki-in-repo and sync round.
