The kernel's evaluation is the approval-discounted one at discount zero (evalOf_eq_discounted_zero); the discount that reads a predicted approval lets an option certain to cross a line beat asking whenever its bid does (discount_defeats_exchange_rate). Membership may be learned — the price is the inductor's — and the treatment is fixed (M4). Rejected alternative: discounting the violation's price by the predicted approval, which makes a confident prediction of her answer a substitute for asking.
