crux-illegitimate-ordering
cases · drafted
Statement
Every illegitimate world is worse, in the humans' judgment, than every legitimate one.
Source
The public kernel assumes the ordering as a hypothesis (wiki/Corrigibility.md, section 5, Box 3; see kernel-lexical-order-hypothesis).
Notes
A value question for humans, not a factual one for the formal work: the weights are the humans' judgment. Pictures: yes (lexical or cardinal gap is the faithful rule); no, with graded overlap; the floor (all illegitimate equally worst); residual. It re-ranks the proposals for weighting legitimacy and is what the public kernel's Box 3 assumes.
