Statement

Solving the embedded-agency and trust questions for unbounded computation first, and then relating that solution to bounded computation by an approximation notion, yields a theory of trust that guides AI safety engineering work.

Notes

The three conjuncts are the plan's own two steps (an unbounded theory; its relation to bounded computation) and the route by which the relation reaches engineering, which runs through the logical-induction level: the step factor-reaches-engineering conditions on li-guides-engineering. The decomposition is the filing session's reading of the plan. The rival methodology takes bounded rationality as the primary object of study, with the unbounded case as what it approximates; the want want-methodology-note asks for a note weighing the two.
