Statement

The logical-induction-register legitimacy (a gate on a trust principle; endpoint preservation against a sealed sibling) and the public thick and thin theory (four structural conditions on a record satisfying correct, sufficient and value against a baseline) are formalism-specific statements of one concept.

Source

The maintainer's licence for a correspondence rather than an identity, projects/deference/corrigibility-note-dump-2026-10-01/position-statement-v2.md, section 1.5: "There is a clear family resemblance here, but the exact statement can differ from formalism to formalism."; the public line's own pointer to the maintainer's register, PRIORITIES.md, item 109; the two theories as filed under this frame.

Notes

No document compares the two theories theorem by theorem (a grep for files citing both the endpoint-preservation note and the thin-legitimacy module finds none). The first row is conditioned on the public Reflection theorem. The bridge table task is the comparison; the two question leaves beside this node are its first rows.
