Statement
The public line's route to a legitimacy theorem useful for corrigibility runs through certifying semantic transport, a theory of authorized disposition, the legitimacy predicate, counterfactual non-capture and the deference instantiation.
Source
projects/normativity/legitimacy/checkpoint-2026-09-01/ROADMAP.md, section "The shortest path, in one line"; the checkpoint is frozen at 2026-09-01 and still lists the legitimacy predicate as unwritten, while later rounds define it (internal and external, 2026-09-25; thin and thick, 2026-10-01), which is the filing session's reading of the status.
Notes
A plan filed as an and because the checkpoint's own sentence is a conjunction of steps; the predicate step is done (public-legitimacy-theory), so the conjuncts are the four remaining steps and a completeness leaf. Four AI-estimated conjuncts multiply, so the plan carries a gestalt with the reasoning for the whole. Success is valued as the frame's top class.

Each verb opens a prefilled issue; a round files what lands as the ledger event it is.
