Statement

Decision theory formulated over the Stage 5 object, an abstraction-compatible logical inductor with its representation theorem, covers decision problems whose decision points carry different world-concepts.

Source

projects/deference/note-dump-2026-08-11/notes/roadmap.md, Stage 6: "The Stage-5 object has a claim to being the right setting to do decision theory in — so do decision theory there. This is the continuation of the Coherent Care post (LessWrong, spring 2026)."

projects/decision-theory/decision-problems-note-dump-2026-10-01/decision-problems-v2.md, open question Q7: per-state algebras with translation maps would let a decision problem present points whose world-concepts differ; the formal core leaves the calibration equations for that case open.

Notes

A crux of this programme. It re-ranks Stage 6's decision-theory step against the updateless-dt branch's formal-core route: under the second picture Stage 6 has no decision-theoretic content of its own. The pictures are the filing session's reading of the roadmap's one sentence.
