Statement
Each of condensation's three scores is interpreted as an expected cost under a stated convention: the simple and conditioned scores as explanation lengths, and the reconstruction score as a measure of over-parameterization given the givens.

Demski's LessWrong posts Condensation (2025-11-09, https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/BstHXPgQyfeNnLjjp/condensation) and Condensation & Relevance (2026-01-23, https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/2x9yatKKTRMabQAWq/condensation-and-relevance): the first post's Score section.
Notes
A mid-level plan of Stage 4, an and of the two interpretations its Statement names. The plan states a two-plus-one reading rather than reading all three scores as explanation lengths, because the reconstruction score is not about explanation cost.
