Statement

The legitimacy-weighted decision objective the programme adopts defends legitimacy strategically when it is threatened and is cautious about the consequences of its actions in illegitimate worlds.

Source

The five proposals are the variant matrix formalized in projects/deference/faf-cleanroom-2026-10-02/packages/legit-neg-static/legit-neg-static-report.md, Target 3 (P1 the floor, P2 conditioning, P3 graded, P4a lexical and P4b cardinal gap, P5 the decomposition), with the verdicts of that package and of legit-neg-pricing and legit-neg-dynamic beside it. The two requirements in the Statement, strategic defence of legitimacy when it is threatened and caution about consequences in illegitimate worlds, are the filing session's statement of what those results test.

Notes

The crux of the legitimacy step: the Statement is the two requirements, strategic defence and caution in illegitimate worlds, as one claim, and the pictures are the five objectives plus a residual. Three rows are conditioned on the packages' strongest results (the deterrence floor, the news-management theorems) or on the ordering crux crux-illegitimate-ordering (whether an illegitimate world is ever better). The packages' register: no result refuted, every informal reading of a proposal unvetted. The same five proposals are filed by the corrigibility branch under its own id; the merge keeps one.
