Statement
The logical-induction deference collapse, in which Total Trust implies the tower and the tower implies Value, can be improved until it reflects a human epistemic process deferring to a distinct, faster AI inductor it gives feedback to, on questions that may mention the AI's outputs well.

graph/PROTOCOL.md, section 2, Improvement claims (an invalid toy can still be improved fruitfully): a literal evaluation of each plan beside a claim that it can be improved until it reflects reality well, with cases such as assumptions to relax, informal directions and changes of formalism.
The reality phrase follows projects/deference/note-dump-2026-08-11/notes/li-deference.md L35: "Imagine a model with a "slow but trusted" logical inductor $H$, representing idealized human scientific and philosophical progress, and a "fast but untrusted" inductor $A$, representing a potentially misaligned AI"; and the deck's question slide, projects/deference/faf-cleanroom-2026-10-02/sources/Boundedly Rational Deference.pdf slide 2 ("When can humans justifiably trust AI?").
Notes
The improvement claim on the toy collapse. Its routes are the directions the corpus itself has taken: scope the decision side (the deck's REGULARITY), soften the instrumental notion (δ-hedged Value), move to policies, transport to a distinct expert, weaken the grade (the faithful-acceleration results), restrict the question domain, and a residual.
The routes are not independent: each must get past the cross-process refutation of the timely pointwise tower on quote-referencing families (timely-pointwise-tower-refuted-in-setting), so the disjunction computed under independence overstates the claim; the gestalt records the holistic reading, and their gap is what a re-examine unit asks a human to read.
The landed sub-frame deference-toward-bounded-agents asks a second, different improvement question (toward a bounded trained agent and human teachers); a frame carries no improves field, so it stays a plan of this line.
