Statement
A policy-level analogue of Total Trust, for an AI trained to act whose policy the humans trust directly, yields a version of the collapse with no selection to condition on.

projects/deference/note-dump-2026-08-11/wiki/open-problems.md, Research direction: trust the policy, not the decision rule (Abram, 2026-07-25): "model an AI trained to act — a policy the humans can trust directly — rather than an estimator run through an argmax rule".
Notes
The route the open-problems page records as a research direction; the landed question policy-level-total-trust asks what the analogue is. The route conditions on the toy's validity, which carries little weight here because the toy's completeness leaves are low.
